Urban Bicycle subculture

For some people riding a bike becomes more than just a better way of getting around town. Choosing to ride can be part of a larger rebellion against the establishment. By choosing not to drive a car you can stop a lot of money ending up in the hands of the greedy old white men. If you live in the bush then sure, maybe you can justify having a car but most Australians live in cities and if we are going to be true to the values most of us hold dear then we shouldn't be taking part in the automobile culture

Members of the vast bike punk subculture include environmental and political activists, artists and bike messengers. History will recognise them as heroes one day.
