My Bike Broke

Sob...

The question is, do I fix it? Or use this as an excuse to buy a fabulous new Surly?

What would you do?

Aluminum dropouts are not going to be easy to repair. If the components are good, i'd just move them all over onto a new surly frame. Save money : )

I snapped my GT in the same spot. See here: http://thehippy.net/nucleus/index.php?itemid=664

My frame was a mid-90's steel jobbie though so I bought a track bike for commuting while having the GT welded.

Being alu, yours will most likely need retiring.
