Bicycle Art
Northern California artists Mark Grieve and Ilana Spector built a 65-foot-tall, 10,000-pound obelisk out of around 340 bicycles, and one tricycle. Called "Cyclisk". It was installed on a streetcorner in Santa Rosa, California. Grieve and Spector collected the hundreds of bicycles they needed for the project from community donations.

Isn't it fab?!!
The link says these bicycles are "recycled." They are nothing of the kind, they are entombed.
It is a fascinating bit of work, but most of those bicycles could still be cycling the first time.
I thinks its a nice piece of art! What better way to use bikes that are broken! (I am sure the bikes were not cycle-able anymore...)
