ABC on strike
Natasha and I are having a nice day at home today, kids are at school, sun is shining and we're on strike! We rode into town this morning to join the picket line and then had a leisurely breakfast at Sideways Cafe where we ran into a friend of ours fellow ABC Cycling blogger Nick Grimm.

Bicyclists winning a war of lanes in San Francisco
One Friday night a month, they gather in this liberal bastion of activism for the cause of cleaner air and quieter and safer streets. One thousand to 2,000 strong on average, they pedal through traffic lights and stop signs like a diminutive band of Hobbit cyclists out to conquer the armies of Sauron (car owners of San Francisco).

Opening Night
Opening night was a big success, everyone had a great time and we sold lots of prints. You can see more pictures from the opening on the SBAR Photo Page
The event was opened by Marcelle Hoff and Murray Matson. By about 7.30 the place was packed with all of my favourite people but I was so busy I hardly got to talk to any of them.
The exhibition is only open until Saturday so do get down there and see it before it closes.
End of an era
Cheeky Monkey have moved to Newtown which is a little sad because I loved that little shop but good too because the new place is much bigger and still on my bike route.
Ceremonial lowering of the bike
Big Red docked outside the old shop a few weeks ago.
The monkeys have loaned me this lovely black beastie to ride while they put a new chain guard on Big Red, he's getting full length mud guards as well because:
A) I'm sick of my boots filling up with water when it rains
B) Syd's new mudguards look so cool and I didn't want Red getting jealous
C) My old (front) mudguard kept falling off at inopportune moments.
